Cinderella is a story about a young girl with a beautiful, kind and gentle nature. She has to endure some hardship living with her stepmother and stepsisters and is forced to live like a servant instead tending to the fireplace, which is why she is called 'Cinderella'.

She spends her time dreaming of escaping her drudgery and even makes friends with the mice. She gets a visit from the fairy godmother who helps to transform her into a beautiful princess so that she can attend the Royal Ball for a few hours. Whilst at the Ball she catches the attention of the handsome prince who is eager to find out more about her. However, she is aware that she has to be back by midnight since that is when she changes back into her old self again.

Whilst she is trying to catch the coach on time, Cinderella leaves a glass slipper behind and there is no time to go and retrieve it. The prince discovers it and from then on he is determined to find the person who the slipper belongs to, declaring that he will marry the person that it fits. When Cinderella tries on the slipper, her true identity is revealed to the prince and they eventually get married and live happily ever after in the palace.
